We Can Only Enter the Kingdom of Heaven by Doing God’s Will (Part Two)

Eastern Lightning | church life

By Xinshou, United States

After Sister Li listened, she smiled and said, “Thanks be to God, you’ve asked a critical question! Whether we can become people who do the Father’s will is directly related to our own endings and destination, and fellowship on this question is very necessary! In the last days, the returned Lord Jesus, who is Almighty God, has already revealed the truth and mysteries surrounding this question to us. First, let’s read several passages of Almighty God’s word!” After she spoke, Sister Li opened a book of God’s word and began to read, “A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you be after God’s heart? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as a sinner because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. We Can Only Enter the Kingdom of Heaven by Doing God’s Will (Part One)

By Xinshou, United States

Editor’s Note: Many people believe that merely by forsaking, expending, laboring, and working for the Lord, we are doing the Father’s will, but the Lord Jesus said, “Not every one that said to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? and in Your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21–23). Why did the Lord Jesus say those who work and preach in His name are workers of iniquity? Isn’t forsaking, expending, laboring, and working for the Lord doing the Father’s will? Just what does it mean to do the Father’s will? Sister Xinshou’s experience gives us an answer. Replacing Jealousy With Magnanimity

Personal testimony of salvation | Replacing Jealousy With Magnanimity

By Fu Dan, China

A few years back, Sister Xiaojie was transferred to our church to help me with leadership duties. Over time I found that despite being young, she was of good caliber and really capable. She practiced the truth when problems arose and focused on seeking the principles of the truth. I didn’t match up to her in caliber or work ability. I really admired her and felt she was talented. At a co-workers’ meeting once, a leader asked me if there were people in the church who pursued the truth and had high caliber. I told her about Sister Xiaojie’s strengths without hesitation. Before long, the leader invited her to the co-workers’ meeting and asked her to go to the next several meetings, too. I gradually started to feel a little uncomfortable, thinking, “I was always the one to attend the meetings and the leader discussed church work with me. Now she’s asking Xiaojie to go. It looks like she wants to focus her efforts on training her. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have mentioned her strong points.”Read More »

Can People Pleasers Win God’s Praise?

By Liu Yi, China

Before I was a believer, I was always careful not to offend other people, and I could get along with everyone. I’d help out whenever I saw someone going through a hard time, so I felt like I had good humanity, and that I was a good person. It was only by experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words that I realized that I was just safeguarding my relationships with others and I was devoid of a sense of justice. I was never able to uphold the principles of the truth or to protect the interests of God’s house when it was most critical. I saw I was a selfish, deceitful people pleaser who disgusted God. Filled with regret and detesting myself, I began to focus on practicing the truth, and I then began to change.Read More »

My Inability to Cast Off Sin Causes Me Much Distress

Will the Lord Perform New Work When He Returns?

Does Good Behavior Demonstrate That Our Dispositions Have Changed?

So, This Is How God Judges and Purifies Man

I Recognize the Voice of God and Joyfully Welcome the Lord’s Return

My Inability to Cast Off Sin Causes Me Much Distress

I am a Christian. As a young woman, before I began believing in the Lord, I always had such a strong drive to excel over others. I always felt that I was more educated than my mom and I always disregarded my mom’s suggestions. My mom was also very self-opinionated, always trying to get me to do what she said, and so the two of us were often at loggerheads because of our differing opinions.Read More »

God Appearing and Working in China Is So Significant

Hearing that the Lord has descended in secret and become flesh in China, doing His work and speaking lots of words, some people think that China is the darkest and the most backward country which resists God most severely. How come the Lord returns to such a country? The Lord should have returned to Israel. However, where He chooses to do His work, there is significance. God has carried out the work of purification upon Chinese people who are the most corrupt and backward, which shows the most representative meaning and which most shows forth God’s almightiness and wisdom…

God Appearing and Working in China Is So SignificantGod gave His glory to Israel and then took it away, and afterward He brought the Israelites to the East, and all of humanity to the East. God has brought them all to the light so that they may be reunited with it, and be in association with it, and no longer have to search for it. God shall let all who are searching see the light again and see the glory He had in Israel; God shall let them see that He has long ago come down upon a white cloud into the midst of mankind, let them see the countless clouds of white and fruits in their abundant clusters, and, what is more, let them see Jehovah God of Israel. God shall let them look upon the Master of the Jews, the longed-for Messiah, and the full appearance of God who has been persecuted by kings throughout the ages. Read More »

Finding Freedom From Status

By Dong En, France

I became a church leader in 2019. I did things my own way, was irresponsible in my duty, and I didn’t assign the right people to the right tasks, which all had an impact on church life. I was filled with remorse. I therefore resolved to get a good handle on church work. Back then, there were two group leaders who were to be reassigned, but I couldn’t find anyone suitable to replace them. I was consumed with worry, and thought, “If I can’t find anyone fit for these posts, my leader will say that I’m unable to do practical work. What if I end up being replaced?” I racked my brains and then thought of Sister Zhang: She was of good caliber and was good at her duty. She’d be great as a group leader. At this thought, I heaved a sigh of relief. I felt like I’d found someone to fill that post, and that my work would get easier now with the right person in the job.Read More »

In Letting Go of Selfishness, I Am Liberated

In Letting Go of Selfishness, I Am Liberated

By Xiaowei, China

Almighty God says: “In the dispositions of normal people there is no crookedness or deceitfulness, people have a normal relationship with each other, they do not stand alone, and their lives are neither mediocre nor decadent. So, too, is God exalted among all; His words permeate among man, people live in peace with one another and under the care and protection of God, the earth is filled with harmony, without the interference of Satan, and the glory of God holds the utmost importance among man. Such people are like angels: pure, vibrant, never complaining about God, and devoting all their efforts solely to God’s glory on earth” (“Chapter 16” of Interpretations of the Mysteries of God’s Words to the Entire Universe in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Learning How to Distinguish the False Way From the True Way, My Reunion With God

By Xinkao, United States

Editor’s Note: I’m sure many Catholics have observed how unorthodox practices within the church occur with ever increasing frequency, parishioners seem weak in their faith and the church seems ever more bleak and desolate. Some Catholics would like to look elsewhere for a church that has the work of the Holy Spirit, but because the priests are always saying they must be wary of the false way, they don’t dare seek and investigate. Sister Xinkao, however, actively investigated the church that has the work of the Holy Spirit, learned how to distinguish between the true and false way and welcomed the return of the Lord Jesus.
